Hi, I'm Sam. Today we're going to be having a quick look at the error ranger edge ai module now; this is an automatic license plate recognition system, so let's get in here and have a quick look at the system. I'm going to be showing you guys what's in the box.
I'll run through a quick setup of the entire method to show you how fast it is all right so let's open up the package; here we go. Everything's all neatly packaged in there. Hopefully, you can see that let's pull out some of these boxes.
Cool, all right, so here are our three boxes. Let's jump into the main one. Hey cool, oh, it's so fancy!
All right, this is the Aero Ranger EdgeAI module; this is kind of the brain box that runs the ANPR & ALPR AI models to detect vehicles count vehicles determine to make model color things like that, so here let's run through all the connectors, hey this one here is the 12-volt power source.
Then we've got four ethernet connectors now these are POE power over ethernet connectors so they can be running uh powering any CCTV camera security cameras, on this side we've got USB and HDMI and then over here we've got 4g antennas we've got a wi-fi antenna and a GPS antenna connector all right, so that's our primary device let's have a look at some accessories.
All right, this is the antennas box, so here we've got a mobile antenna, so that's an elite 4g antenna. Let's lay these guys out for you got another mobile antenna lte to check those guys there next up we've got a wi-fi antenna and a GPS antenna now this one has an adhesive back it's also got a magnet built into it so it can kind of magnet to your car roof or wherever you need it to go next up we've got an all-in-one antenna, so this is an optional extra um that's an all-in-one, so it's got GPS
It's got wi-fi, and it's got 4g lte all in the one kind of slightly larger antenna so that one's got an adhesive back as well next up, let's get that box out of the way we have some vibration-isolating mounts, so what these guys do is they go in between these here little mounting points for the device so that's if you're going to be mounting it onto uh say into a vehicle where it might have a bit of vibration going on just kind of help protect all the componentry inside all right let's have a look in the next box all right.
We've got power, so we've got a cigarette lighter adapter, so that's obviously for powering it in your car. Next up, we've got an Anderson connector, so this one here is if you want to power off like a four-wheel-drive battery box kind of thing um, lots of those have those connectors on them.
Then we've got an ac power adapter, so this is a large voltage range so it's 100 to 240 volts so it'll work in Australia or us and we've also got the power cable.
i'm going to leave these guys here. Let's put this box away, all right. I think we've got one last box to have a look at, so let's slide him over; yes, the camera system so this ships with the chariot version of the ajr module, so these here are Poe power over ethernet cameras. They come fully pre-set up on a ram mount. Hence, it's excellent quality uh suction cup mount so you can easily attach this to your say your windscreen in your vehicle cool all right let's kind of put these guys here I'm just going to tighten that up, so it doesn't fall over and also in the same box ethernet cables to plug in the camera all right get that out of the way I think that's all of the kits out of the packaging let's start a timer and see how quickly we can get it all set up and ready to go.
All right now that we've got everything all set up and powered up, we can see that there's a blue light on the red indicator showing that the device is booted um we've also got some red lights on the camera showing that the machine is powering them so now what we need to do is pull out our iPhone. I'm just going to start a quick screen recording for you three two one there, it is all right, and we need to connect up to the wi-fi of this device okay so I'm going to come into my wi-fi settings there he is now the password is listed on the silver label.
Yep so that guy's now connecting up there we go.
We've got the tick cool, so now we need to launch the edge companion app.
Let's launch that cool there we go we've got the edge companion app all loaded up now it's showing me the previous history of other devices that I've been using on my phone yours will be blank with a new device, cool so let's jump over to the status page we can see that its connected to the edge ai module we've got a good LTE signal strength we've got four GPS satellites. It's showing us our GPS location, and we've got no pending uploads in the queue. We can even go through and view cameras, so view camera feeds there we go.
That's you looking at me through my cameras here, and that's it, so now all we need to do is take all of this kit into our car and mount these guys on the windscreen, show some license plates to these cameras, and everything's all done it's all set up it's ready to go.
that's it; see you in the next video
